Hello guys! This is urgent so please I’d appreciate if you’d read it! Okay so I have to create and animate a character due January and I liteally have no idea what to do and where to start. I’ve never animated before and I’m getting pretty anxious because I feel so lost! I have no problem when creating a character, but how I create a colored animation (not a compicated one btw, flat colouring will do) with a simple background that doesn’t look awful? Please I need advice and info about what programs to use and such. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!!

I just use Photoshop Creative cloud and do frame by frame animation. it's alright but there are probably better things out there.
Remember when you're animating to do the absolute bare bones first, like stick legs and tail and what not to make sure everything is moving proper before you put a lot of effort into it.

I always just use layers, stacking and editing as i go, use the opacisity on the previous layer to help with the current one. Sketchbook autodesk, fire alpaca, photoshop. Im sure there are programs made for this though im not farmiliar with them...

Run cycles and expressions ar always a good start, as for backgrounds hmm just make sure there is depth like big trees and little trees scattered to create the illusion.

You could use SFM for the background. As for animating the character, I have no clue

Although you need a Steam account in order to use it. And you can download extra maps/models from the Workshop. I generally get to where I need to be via Google
